Bugs...It's whats for dinner!!!

Again, I find myself appologizing for not updating this for an entire week...I'm sorry.

So let me fill you in, I've been training...Tuesday was hard as I think my legs were still recovering from the race, but I did manage to log about 23 miles (37 km) for the week of running. Plus a good X-training bike ride on Friday evening.

I've got to tell you though, if you can avoid it don't run or ride your bike along the water in the late afternoon/early evening, unless your hungry for bugs. I probably managed to swallow about 2000 assorted bugs over the weekend. They taste like shit, and they don't fill you up...it pretty much sucks...don't eat bugs.

Okay, big event comming up next Saturday May 5th at GoodLife fitness in Belleville. It's called the Diabetes Spin for Fitness and how it works is there's some teams, and each team has 4 spin bikes that they have to keep going for 6 hours (24 hours total spin time). Each team member gets sponsored and the proceeds go to the Canadian Diabetes Association. The great part is that for Team Diabetes members (that's me and Brock), the proceeds from your team go towards your individual Team D campaign. I've got about 12 people on my team and they're doing great. I'll release the final team roster as soon as I've finalized with a couple other people and let you know. Anyhow, if you'd like to join the team, or pledge a participant, then leave a comment and I'll get back to you. If you're interested in joining the team, I can promise you a fun day, surrounded by hot, fit people like myself, plus you get a t-shirt, plus a bbq at my place after the event, plus you get to feel good about yourself raising money for the Diabetes Association, and promoting fitness...you know you want to!!!

Anyhow, I've gotta get ready to ride my bike home from work...in the rain...crap!!!
